John is the strategic leader of McCann Enterprise, responsible for advising our most senior global clients, helping to set strategic direction for the agency and overall leadership of the strategy function.

In a career spanning 3 decades, he has been the global strategy lead on 6 of Interbrand’s 100 Best Global Brands: Samsung, Nescafe, AXA, Orange, Zurich and UBS, as well as playing roles on a host of other global clients including Coca-Cola, Heineken, McDonalds, Procter and Gamble, United Airlines, Kellogg’s, Johnnie Walker and Stolichnaya Vodka.

He has held senior agency management roles. Before coming to McCann Enterprise, he was formerly Global CSO of Publicis Worldwide, Regional CSO of Leo Burnett Asia-Pacific and Chief Strategy Officer of McCann Worldgroup Japan.

He’s been a Cannes Lion winner, and a judge of the Global Effies, Cannes Effectiveness Lions, Asia-Pac Effies, and Admap columnist.

A true globalist, his passion is understanding people who think differently to him, and that passion has taken him and his family to live in London, Paris, Milan, Hong Kong, Sydney and Tokyo (with short stints in NY and Shanghai).

He currently lives between Paris and London, and speaks fluent English, French and Italian.
